Hoan Kiem District recorded the highest number of cases with the cluster of cases at Phuc Tan Primary School with 10 cases, followed by Me Linh District with 5 cases. Thus, cumulatively from the beginning of 2024 to now, the city has recorded 147 cases of chickenpox (a decrease of more than 50% compared to the same period in 2023).

According to the Hanoi Center for Disease Control, the current winter-spring weather is the period when many infectious diseases such as measles, chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth disease, whooping cough often occur... Recently, Hanoi has had a number of outbreaks and clusters of hand, foot and mouth disease and chickenpox in schools. It is expected that in the coming time, there will be more new cases and outbreaks in the area.

To proactively prevent and control epidemics, the Hanoi Center for Disease Control recommends that units in the industry strengthen monitoring and early detection of outbreaks and clusters of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, chickenpox, etc., especially at medical stations, kindergartens and primary schools; organize activities to handle outbreaks, general environmental sanitation, and disinfection at schools with many patients and outbreaks; promptly investigate and handle cases and outbreaks recorded during the week, not allowing outbreaks to spread widely.

District, town and city health centers direct commune, ward and town health stations to organize screening of vaccination subjects, strengthen disease prevention propaganda; maintain expanded vaccination work to prevent dangerous diseases in children; ensure vaccination rates for diseases and actively advise people to have their children vaccinated fully and on schedule; organize vaccination sessions well, ensure safety.../.
