Request to rectify existing problems and limitations at Cua Lo beach

(PLVN) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An has just issued a document to the People's Committee of Vinh City regarding the rectification of tourism services at Cua Lo beach after feedback from people, the press and social networks about some shortcomings and limitations during the recent holidays.

During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year (2025), Nghe An province welcomed about 1.17 million visitors, with total revenue estimated at nearly 2,000 billion VND.

However, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, through the reflection of some press agencies and social networks, at Cua Lo beach there are still some shortcomings and limitations, especially during the peak period, affecting the image of Cua Lo beach tourism such as: unorganized parking lot, messy arrangement, losing parking space, causing loss of aesthetics and inconvenience for tourists; The shower area has small-scale, dripping water, tourists have to queue to shower; The changing area has a bad smell, the entire public sanitation system is not guaranteed; Jet skis enter the tourist bathing area to pick up and drop off passengers, solicit, swing, and run at high speed, causing danger and insecurity for tourists when bathing.

In order to promptly overcome and improve the quality of tourist services during the 2025 tourist season, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a document requesting the Vinh City People's Committee to direct relevant departments and divisions to advise on the correct implementation of Regulation No. 18/2023/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on decentralization of state management of tourism; promptly adjust the management and operation mechanism of the above-mentioned free systems; review and reorganize the parking area, ensure scientific and safe arrangement, with clear signs, convenient for tourists; arrange more shower booths, increase cleaning staff to clean the changing area, ensure sufficient service capacity, hygiene, safety during peak hours and create a feeling of comfort for tourists.

In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested the Vinh City People's Committee to regularly propagate to residents and tourists about maintaining public hygiene, and strengthen supervision to handle cases of intentional violations that cause a bad image of Cua Lo tourism.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committee of Vinh City to strengthen the State management of ensuring order and safety of waterway traffic, especially for means of transport serving entertainment and recreation at sea (specifically jet ski services) to implement in accordance with regulations, organize the signing of commitments for organizations and individuals who are vehicle owners and drivers to strictly comply with the provisions of law on organizing jet ski activities at sea.
