10 Must-Try Malaysian Street Foods

VnExpressVnExpress21/07/2023

CNN food experts have compiled a list of Malaysia's most popular and iconic dishes as a suggestion for tourists planning an upcoming trip to the country. The list is also referenced by the Malaysian Tourism Authority and arranged in random order.

Mee goreng mamak is a stir-fried noodle dish consisting of yellow noodles stir-fried with beef or chicken, prawns, garlic, spring onions, tomato sauce, curry, sweet soy sauce, boiled potatoes and eggs. To finish the dish, the chef will top it with red chillies, crispy fried onions and a slice of lime or kumquat.

"You can cook this dish at home but it won't taste the same as when you eat it at a hawker stall in Malaysia," CNN wrote. Photo: Tourism Malaysia
