135th Anniversary of Uncle Ho's Birthday: Vietnamese in Cambodia Turn to Their Origins

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), on the morning of May 18, the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Cambodia (KVA) solemnly held an incense offering ceremony to express its respect and forever remember the merits of President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnamese national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure, the great leader of the Vietnamese people, an outstanding soldier of the workers' movement and the international communist movement, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation, for the independence, freedom and happiness of the people.

In a solemn and sacred atmosphere, the Vietnamese community in Cambodia gathered at the KVA headquarters, offering incense to respectfully pay tribute to the great merits of President Ho Chi Minh , expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions and sacrifices for the people and the country, as well as showing their hearts always turning towards their roots and the Fatherland.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Sim Chy - Chairman of KVA - reviewed the journey of the father of the nation to find a way to save the country with great ambition, as well as his great contribution in finding the right revolutionary path, bringing the Vietnamese people to the shore of independence and freedom thanks to his outstanding intelligence and boundless patriotism.

Mr. Sim Chy affirmed that Uncle Ho's entire life was a shining example of revolutionary morality, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and always putting the interests of the country and people above all else.

Uncle Ho's teachings will forever endure through time, forever shining in the development journey of the Vietnamese people and humanity, and always be the guiding principle for the actions of every Vietnamese person today.

Always keeping in mind and implementing Uncle Ho's teaching that "The most precious gift for me is the reports on patriotic emulation achievements," KVA President Sim Chy said that the Vietnamese community in Cambodia is always actively studying, working, working, gradually rising up and integrating into the local community.

Although living and working far from their homeland, the Vietnamese community in Cambodia always looks back to their roots, especially the glorious traditions of the Vietnamese people in the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

According to Mr. Sim Chy, Vietnamese people in Cambodia have always strived to unite, bond, share, and help each other, contributing to preserving and promoting the spirit of solidarity, and being a solid bridge connecting the friendly relationship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia according to his teachings: "Unity, unity, great unity - Success, success, great success," "Throughout the mountains and rivers, we are one family - Because in the four seas, we are all brothers."

Sharing with reporters of Vietnam News Agency, Mr. Ly Van Xuan - Vice President of KVA Phnom Penh City Branch expressed his emotions when participating in the incense offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh to commemorate his great contributions.

As a son living far away from home, Mr. Ly Van Xuan expressed his determination to promote and continue the tradition of the Vietnamese people, following Uncle Ho's instructions. That is the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, sharing difficulties and always looking towards the homeland and the Fatherland./.
