The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a plan to implement the Project to support the improvement of the quality of care, nurturing and education of preschool children in areas with industrial parks and industrial clusters in Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2025-2028 (referred to as the Project). The Project implementation conference took place last week at Hoa Phong Lan Kindergarten, Tan Thoi Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
11,000 preschool children benefit
The project has 5 main contents: Organizing training and fostering of reporters; Improving capacity for teachers and caregivers at private independent preschools; Deploying online learning for reporters, teachers, and caregivers at private independent preschools ; Building pilot models; Strengthening inspection and supervision of private independent preschools in wards and communes with industrial parks and industrial clusters.

Accordingly, 60 city reporters were selected to participate in training courses on implementing the Preschool Education Program, responsive care and teaching methods, and skills to organize an educational environment suitable for children.
442 preschool teachers and caregivers working at private independent preschools attended training courses to improve their professional and technical skills.
Notably, during the implementation of the Project, the city will select a typical private independent preschool as a pilot model of the Project to apply intervention contents, and then replicate them in other units.
Project implementation period from October 2025 to June 2028.
The Project implementation areas are the following wards and communes of Ho Chi Minh City: Tan Thuan ward, Tan Thoi Hiep ward, Tay Thanh ward, Tan Tao ward, Binh Tan ward, Tam Binh ward, Linh Xuan ward, Tang Nhon Phu ward, Vinh Loc commune, Tan Vinh Loc commune, Binh Loi commune, Tan Nhut commune, Tan An Hoi commune, Cu Chi commune, Hiep Phuoc commune.

The funding source for the Project implementation period 2025-2028 in Ho Chi Minh City is sponsored by OneSky (an international non- governmental organization, established in 1998, specializing in supporting preschool care and education) with a non-refundable grant according to the approval decision of the Ministry of Education and Training.
It is expected that about 11,000 preschool children in Ho Chi Minh City will benefit from the above activities.
Select teachers and caregivers at private independent preschools to participate in training
In the coming time, the Department of Preschool Education, Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will select and train 60 key reporters; 442 teachers and caregivers from private independent preschools; select and support 1 private independent preschool as a pilot model.
The Department of Preschool Education also periodically trains the quality monitoring team; develops a professional support plan, implements online learning, pilots and officially applies the preschool education quality monitoring toolkit. At the same time, the Department's Preschool Education Department will organize periodic training courses, seminars, and experience sharing forums for managers and teachers; directly support private independent preschools, especially pilot models; coordinate with departments and People's Committees of communes/wards in inspecting, monitoring, and summarizing the Project...
