Implementing the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee at the end of March 2023, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) of Ho Chi Minh City has reviewed real estate projects with problems in the city.

As of May 20, nearly 2 months later, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said it had completed the resolution of 10 petitions. At the same time, the Department is also handling 73 petitions, 7 petitions to stop handling, 2 petitions that are not in accordance with current law, and 2 petitions that are not the responsibility of the Department.
Regarding 10 recommendations that the Department has resolved, such as: Allocating additional land of 90.8 m2 of land increased by Saigon 9 Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company; extending the land lease term for the SaiGon Center project (phase 3) of Keppel Land Group; transferring the right to use agricultural land of 23,100.8 m2 of land at the Social Housing project to Le Thanh Construction Trading Company Limited; transferring available housing to Saigon Savico Service Joint Stock Company; canceling the decision to reclaim land for Vinh Loc Cultural Ecological Joint Stock Company; reclaiming, allocating land for long-term use, changing the purpose of land use for the following companies: Le Thanh, Phu Cuong, Dong Nam Textile, Emico Saigon...
According to Mr. Le Hoang Chau, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment needs to urgently coordinate with departments, branches, districts, and Thu Duc City to consider and resolve the Association's 73 recommendations to help remove difficulties for businesses and increase revenue for the State budget.
