500 athletes from Tay Mo ward paraded to show off their strength

With the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland", the Congress was solemnly held, with the participation and parade of nearly 500 athletes from 14 delegations, representing agencies, units, schools, socio- political organizations, armed forces, unions and people in the area.

Along with that were the processions carrying red flags, portraits of President Ho Chi Minh , national flags, Congress flags and traditional torches, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, will and aspiration to rise of the Party Committee, government and people of Tay Mo ward.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Vice Chairman of Tay Mo Ward People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung said that in recent years, Tay Mo Ward has always paid attention to developing mass physical training and sports movements associated with the task of socio-economic development and building cultural life at the grassroots level. Up to now, the sports training movement in residential groups with the following subjects: volleyball, table tennis, badminton, traditional martial arts, athletics, chess, chess... has been growing stronger and stronger, attracting a large number of people to participate.

Within the framework of the Congress, more than 300 outstanding athletes competed in 8 sports for subjects from youth, teenagers to the elderly. Before the Congress, Tay Mo ward successfully organized 2/8 sports competitions of the Congress (table tennis, volleyball).

The 1st Tay Mo Ward Sports Festival in 2025 is a big festival, an occasion to demonstrate strength, summarize the achievements of the sports training movement among cadres, civil servants, public employees, students and people. The festival is also an opportunity to select excellent athletes to represent the ward to participate in the 11th Capital Sports Festival.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates and people enjoyed performances of drums, lion and dragon dances, martial arts, aerobics, puzzles, modern dance, and unique folk dances...

On the opening day, the Organizing Committee organized competitions in two events: tug of war and sack jumping. These were two events with a large number of registered teams, creating an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere.
