(NLDO) - At the launching ceremony of "Digital Education for the People" organized by Thanh Hoa province, 52,000 people attended online at 1,018 connection points.

On the morning of May 8, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province organized the launching ceremony of the "Digital Education for All" movement in the whole province.

The conference was connected online to 1,018 points from the province to provincial departments, agencies, units; districts, towns, cities and communes, wards, towns, villages, neighborhoods, universities, markets, and businesses with more than 52,000 attendees.

The "Digital Education for All" plan presented by Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Dao Xuan Yen affirmed that the "Digital Education for All" movement must be comprehensively and widely deployed to villages, hamlets, and residential groups, creating a movement for the entire population to compete in learning and practicing digital skills, actively participating in the digital transformation process.

In particular, cadres and party members must take the lead and set an example in implementing the movement, contributing to spreading the spirit of self-study, self-improvement of knowledge and digital skills, turning the process of learning, training, improving and applying digital knowledge into the personal needs of each citizen.

The results of the movement must be measured by fundamental changes in people's ability to use digital platforms and services, promoting the development of the digital economy , building digital government, digital society and aiming for Thanh Hoa to be among the leading provinces and cities in the country in digital transformation. Launching the "Digital Literacy for All" movement, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is a movement of great significance, carrying profound humanistic values ​​for the development of the country and each locality, including Thanh Hoa province; demonstrating the determination of the Party Committee and authorities in the development of a digital nation, digital government , digital economy, digital society and digital citizens.

At the same time, it is an important task to concretize the Party's policies and guidelines in Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation; it is a practical task to organize the implementation of General Secretary To Lam's direction on lifelong learning and deploy the "Digital Education for All" movement.

In particular, Mr. Tuan suggested that Party committees and authorities at all levels, especially leaders, need to take the lead in improving digital capacity and promoting digital transformation at agencies, localities and units; considering this a key task, associated with administrative reform and socio-economic development; creating conditions for people to access digital skills, services, and digital platforms, taking people and businesses as the center and driving force of digital transformation.

All citizens have access to digital services

According to the "Digital Literacy for All" plan, Thanh Hoa province sets a goal that by 2026, 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the public sector will have an understanding of digital transformation, digital knowledge and skills, and good use of digital platforms and services for work.

100% of primary school students are equipped with digital knowledge and skills to serve their learning, research and creativity, recognize risks and have skills to ensure safety in the digital environment.

100% of adults have basic knowledge of digital transformation, have digital skills, and are good at using smart devices to exploit information, use essential digital platforms and services, and participate in interactions and safety in the digital environment.

80% of adults are confirmed to have universal knowledge of digital transformation and digital skills on the VNelD platform.

100% of employees in enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative unions have basic knowledge of digital technology, digital skills, and good use of smart devices to serve production and business, and improve labor productivity.

The plan also sets out 7 main groups of tasks and solutions to widely communicate to all classes of people about the "Digital Education for All" movement; deploy investment to complete telecommunications and information technology infrastructure to serve people's access to and use of the Internet and digital applications.
