6 students of the School of Humanities received certificates of merit for their good deeds

(Dan Tri) - 6 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have just been awarded certificates of merit by Ho Chi Minh City National University for their beautiful act of inviting veterans to watch the parade on April 30.

On the afternoon of May 6, Ho Chi Minh City National University held a ceremony to award certificates of merit to 6 students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for their beautiful and meaningful actions on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

This action not only shows deep respect for previous generations but also contributes to spreading beautiful images of students of Ho Chi Minh City National University in the community.

The ceremony took place in a solemn and warm atmosphere, with the participation of representatives of the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City National University, leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, teachers and students.

The highlight of the ceremony was the honoring of a group of 6 first-year students from the Faculty of Sociology: Duong Hoang Dung, Le Thi Phuong Hoa, Nguyen Bao Nhat Anh, Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen, Nguyen Ha My and Tran Thu Huyen.

The noble action of this group of students took place during the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South. They proactively invited the veterans involved in the incident where the students were rude to sit with them, showing their concern, respect and deep gratitude to those who sacrificed their blood for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

This beautiful gesture caused strong emotions and received high appreciation from witnesses.

Sharing at the ceremony, student Duong Hoang Dung, representing the group, expressed her emotions: "Receiving the certificate of merit has a very great and special meaning for us. This moment makes me feel overwhelmed and once again proud to be a student of the School of Humanities, of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

This certificate of merit will be the motivation for you and your friends to constantly strive to become patriotic, talented Vietnamese people and to dedicate yourself to your homeland."

The female student also emphasized the spreading meaning of this action: "We hope that this small act will spread beautiful images of students of the School of Humanities in particular and students of Ho Chi Minh City National University in general to the community. Everyone will see aneducational environment that not only focuses on knowledge but is also rich in humanity and kindness."

A representative of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, said the school feels very happy and proud because these beautiful actions of young people have been widely spread.

"I believe that today's young generation, who have received a decent education, based on peace and independence, will certainly have humane and proper actions and attitudes, not just students of any school.

"I wish that young people will always maintain a loving heart, patriotism and national pride, continuing the glorious tradition of our ancestors - the heroes who sacrificed their blood and bones so that we can comfortably play and study in today's peaceful atmosphere," the school representative shared.

The beautiful and meaningful action of the group of students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has received praise from the community, promptly "correcting" the group of young people who were rude before, bringing trust and admiration, further beautifying the image of Vietnamese students.
