61 years since the first victory: Students fuel Truong Sa soldiers with handwritten letters and drawings

TPO - On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Vietnam People's Navy's first victory, hundreds of handwritten letters and drawings from students of Van Bao Primary School (Hanoi) were handed over to the Naval Region 4 Command.

On the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Vietnam People's Navy's first victory (August 2 and 5, 1964 - August 2 and 5, 2025), on August 4, in Bac Cam Ranh ward (Khanh Hoa province), the Naval Region 4 Command solemnly held a ceremony to receive hundreds of letters from students of Van Bao Primary School ( Hanoi City) sent to officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa special zone.

The letters were written neatly on paper, carrying the pure feelings, respect and gratitude of the students for those who are protecting the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland day and night. Each letter is a story, a wish, a promise… full of love and pride.

Tran Ha My (class 5A5, Van Bao Primary School) wrote: “ I wish you good health, holding your guns firmly to protect the sea. I will always study well to not let you down and will be the future of the country .”

Nguyen Phuong Xuyen (class 5A6, Van Bao Primary School) emotionally wrote: " I would like to thank the soldiers for sacrificing themselves so that the country can be peaceful, so that we can go to school and live happily like today ."

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Dung - Deputy Chief of Politics of Naval Region 4, shared: These letters are not only valuable spiritual gifts, but also messages of love and strong motivation for officers and soldiers of Truong Sa to continue to hold their guns firmly and stand firm at the forefront of the storm.

"Especially, on the occasion of the anniversary of the first victory - the milestone that started the glorious tradition of "winning" of our Navy, we appreciate even more the feelings that the young generation on the mainland has for the homeland's sea and islands. This is the symbol of the continuation of the tradition of the Great Rear - the Steadfast Frontline", said Colonel Nguyen Xuan Dung.

These letters will be transported to Truong Sa by the 146th Naval Brigade via ships. Upon arrival, the letters will be handed to officers, soldiers and people on the island.
