On March 7, information from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Office said that the province currently has 7,144 officials with doctoral or master's degrees, accounting for 9.1% of the total number of local officials and civil servants.
In recent years, the training and development of cadres in Thanh Hoa province has helped many cadres improve their qualifications and expertise to meet the job requirements in the new situation.
In 2024, the staffing target of Thanh Hoa province is more than 76,000 cadres. By gender, there are more than 33,000 female cadres, accounting for more than 42%; by age, there are more than 34,000 young cadres, accounting for 44%; by ethnicity, there are more than 7,300 cadres who are ethnic minorities, accounting for 9.4%; by qualifications, there are 7,144 cadres with doctoral or master's degrees, accounting for 9.1%; and there are 3,250 cadres with advanced political theory and bachelor's degrees.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, in recent years, the training and development of cadres has received more attention, especially in the period 2012 - 2023, the whole province has sent 84,211 cadres for training and development. Of which, 10,564 people were trained in professional skills and 20,701 people were trained in political theory.
From the training and fostering of cadres, especially strategic-level cadres, leaders, managers and heads, the quality of cadres is increasingly improved, with good moral qualities, strong political will, qualifications and capacity to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.
In addition to the positive results, in recent years, many cadres and party members have committed violations and been disciplined. From 2021 to 2023 alone, Party committees, Party organizations, and inspection committees at all levels have disciplined 356 party members by expelling them from the Party; 845 party members had their names removed; and 296 party members asked to leave the Party.
