Thay Pagoda is located at the foot of Sai Mountain, Sai Son Commune, Quoc Oai District ( Hanoi ), about 25km southwest of the city center. The pagoda was built during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong (1072-1127) on a dragon-shaped land, with its back leaning against the mountain. The pagoda's design consists of three parallel buildings: Ha Pagoda, Trung Pagoda and Thuong Pagoda. All three have the architecture of the front Buddha and back Saint, forming a unique Heart shape.
Every year on the 5th day of the 3rd lunar month, Thay Pagoda holds a festival for 3 consecutive days. The exciting and joyful atmosphere of the festival attracts many tourists as well as Buddhist monks and nuns to attend the ceremony, visit the site, offer incense to Buddha, and pray for love...
2. Perfume Pagoda
