7 Western teams compete in the 2023 National Men's College Soccer Tournament

On November 24, Can Tho University held the opening ceremony of the 2023 National Men's Student Football Championship (SV Cup) qualifying round for the Western region. This tournament is hosted by the Ministry of Education and Training.

At this year's SV Cup, the Western region has 7 participating teams, including: Can Tho University, Tra Vinh University, An Giang University, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Nam Can Tho University, FPT University Can Tho and Cuu Long University.

The Western region has 7 teams participating in the 2023 SV Cup men's football tournament.

Mr. Tran Trung Tinh, Vice Principal in charge of Can Tho University, said that the tournament aims to create a healthy playground for students across the country to exchange, learn, share learning experiences and compete in sports . The 2023 SV Cup also shows the growth of the sports movement among students in the Western region. This is a useful playground for students to show their talents and passion for the round ball, contributing to the audience with good plays and beautiful goals.

The Western region qualifying round will take place from November 24 to December 1 at An Binh football field (Can Tho City). The organizing committee will select the two highest ranked teams to participate in the final round, scheduled to take place in December in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa).
