Due to severe poisoning, 3 out of 7 patients were transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital. 4 less seriously ill patients are currently continuing treatment at the Lak District Medical Center.
Doctor CKII Huynh Thi Doan Dung, Deputy Head of the Department of Intensive Care - Anti-Poison, Central Highlands General Hospital said that on June 3, the hospital received 3 patients, YSÊ. (born in 1989), YTBD (born in 1998) and YLS (born in 2008) transferred from Lak District Medical Center in a state of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness with a diagnosis of unknown mushroom poisoning. Of the 3 hospitalized patients, one patient had liver and kidney damage and is being actively monitored and treated by the department.
In addition to the 3 cases of unknown mushroom poisoning in Lak district, on June 2, the Department of Intensive Care - Anti-Poison, Central Highlands General Hospital also received patient LVM (residing in Cu Jut district, Dak Nong province) hospitalized for treatment in a state of abdominal pain, severe vomiting, and diarrhea due to eating unknown mushrooms.
