At 8:00 tomorrow, November 6, Song Ray reservoir will discharge flood water.

The Center for Management and Exploitation of Irrigation Works, Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City said that in order to ensure the safety of the Song Ray reservoir (Hoa Hoi commune, Ho Chi Minh City), the property and lives of people in the downstream area of ​​the project, the unit plans to release flood water from tomorrow, November 6.

Specifically, the expected time for opening the spillway is from 8:00 a.m. on November 6 to 8:00 a.m. on November 16 ; the total discharge flow is from 27.85 - 137.91 ^m3 /s. When releasing floodwaters, it is expected to affect households producing along both banks of the Ray River, including: Xuan Son commune, Dat Do commune, Phuoc Hai commune (right bank of the Ray River), Ho Tram commune, Hoa Hoi commune (left bank of the Ray River), Bau Lam commune (upstream of the Ray River lake).

The Center for Management and Exploitation of Irrigation Works informs the above communes about the flood discharge of the Song Ray reservoir. The local authorities of the communes promptly inform the people living along the two banks of the Ray River to be proactive in production, absolutely not allowing people to fish, catch crabs, catch snails in the downstream area of ​​the project that is releasing flood.
