Sponsored by the Dream Creation Fund and Minh Long 1 Company Limited, this morning, June 27, the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, and Support for People with Disabilities in Quang Tri province coordinated with the Association for Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam and the Provincial Eye Hospital to organize cataract surgery support for 80 patients who were assigned to have surgery, who are poor, near-poor, and families with difficult circumstances in the province.

In addition to the amount of health insurance paid, each patient is supported by the program with co-payment of health insurance and cash of 1.5 million VND for compensation, travel, accommodation during surgery and follow-up examination. The support funding comes from the Uprace 2023 Community Health Run organized by the Association of People with Disabilities, Agent Orange Victims, and Support for People with Disabilities in the province.
It is known that “Uprace 2023” is a community running event to contribute to promoting the movement of health and sports training of the people, and at the same time raise charity funds by converting the number of kilometers achieved by runners to implement the program to support eye surgery for the visually impaired and support livelihood capital for people with disabilities who are still able to work.
This is a meaningful humanitarian activity, sharing difficulties with disadvantaged people, contributing to restoring eyesight, bringing light, helping them to be independent and confident in life.
