According to local authorities, heavy rains lasting from October 26 to November 1 caused serious damage to property and agricultural production in many areas.
Specifically, Phan Son commune had 161 hectares of crops damaged, 6 cattle were swept away, total damage of more than 1 billion VND.
Luong Son commune had 842 flooded houses, of which 438 were flooded over 1 meter deep; 695 hectares of crops were flooded, hundreds of livestock and poultry were swept away, causing damage of more than 30.5 billion VND.

In Song Luy commune, 100 houses were flooded, 446.9 hectares of crops were damaged, and 260 livestock were swept away, causing billions of dong in damage.
In Hong Thai commune, 80 houses were flooded, 600 hectares of rice and crops were damaged, 9,300 poultry were swept away, causing damage of about 35 billion VND.
Bac Binh commune recorded 1,300 hectares of crops and 40 houses flooded, causing damage of about 25 billion VND.

Immediately after the disaster, localities activated the "4 on-site" plan, mobilizing militia, police, and organizations to support the evacuation of people and property from dangerous areas; being on duty 24/7 and promptly providing necessities, helping people stabilize initially.

At the working session with localities, comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, shared the difficulties and losses of people in the recent floods, and at the same time praised the proactive spirit and timely response of the Party committees and local authorities in protecting the safety of people's lives and property.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province requested localities to continue assessing actual damage and have appropriate support solutions to help people soon restore production and stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Pham Thi Phuc presented support funds to Luong Son and Song Luy communes, each with 1 billion VND; Bac Binh, Phan Son, and Hong Thai communes, each with 500 million VND .
