Who is the largest shareholder at BVBank, VIB?

(NLDO) - BVBank and VIB are the next two banks to announce information about shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital. Among these are notable names.

At the Viet Capital Bank (BVBank, stock code BVB), there are a total of 9 individuals holding over 1% of the charter capital at this bank. Of which, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Mr. Ngo Quang Trung and Mr. Le Anh Tai, currently members of the Board of Directors (BOD) of BVBank, all hold over 1% of the charter capital.

Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Phuong currently holds more than 22.8 million BVB shares (equivalent to 4.55% ownership ratio). Mr. Le Anh Tai holds more than 14.37 million shares (2.86%) and Mr. Ngo Quang Trung holds 15.68 million shares (3.12%)...

The remaining people holding more than 1% of charter capital are all members of BVBank's board of directors. Notably, this bank currently has no institutional shareholders owning more than 1% of charter capital.

Currently, BVB shares are traded on the Upcom floor with the closing price on August 7 at VND12,100, a slight increase compared to the previous session.

BVBank has no institutional shareholder holding more than 1% of charter capital.

At Vietnam International Bank (VIB ), according to information disclosure, there are 5 institutional shareholders and 13 individuals holding more than 1% of the bank's charter capital. Of which, institutional shareholder Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) holds more than 500 million VIB shares (19.83%).

VIB Board Chairman Dang Khac Vy holds 4.94% of the bank's charter capital, equivalent to more than 125 million shares. Mr. Vy's related people hold more than 388 million shares, equivalent to more than 15.3% of the bank's charter capital.

Regarding VIB stock price, at the close of trading session on August 7, this bank's stock price was at 20,650 VND, slightly down from the previous session.

Up to now, a series of commercial banks have announced information about shareholders owning more than 1% of charter capital such as OCB, MSB, HDBank , LPBank, VPBank, Kienlongbank...

According to the revised Law on Credit Institutions, banks must disclose information on shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital; the list of related persons is also much more extensive than before. The new law also reduces the ownership limit of institutional shareholders from 15% to 10%; shareholders and related persons from 20% to 15%.

From July 1, shareholders and related persons owning shares exceeding the ceiling under new regulations will still be maintained but will not be allowed to increase, except in the case of receiving dividends in shares.
