Sporting Director Fernando Hierro confirmed: "We are in contact with Cristiano to extend his contract and we really hope he will continue with Al Nassr. Every day there is a new club appearing in the media, with around 30 teams interested in Ronaldo but we hope he will stay."
Hierro emphasized: "Ronaldo's presence from the beginning was a national project. CR7 is a phenomenon in football history. He contributed significantly to the strong development of the Saudi Pro League."
Hierro's statement puts to rest rumors that Al Nassr no longer wants to keep Ronaldo. Currently, the future of the former MU star is of great concern. Al Nassr is in the process of strong restructuring, looking for a new direction after failing to achieve success for 3 consecutive seasons.
Ronaldo's next destination is a big question mark. Saudi Arabian media revealed that CR7 could participate in promotional activities for the country at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, when Al Hilal is the only representative participating.
According to Foot Mercato , Ronaldo has two options. The first is to continue staying at Al Nassr and sign a new contract with the club. However, Ronaldo's income may be affected. The remaining option is to find a new destination with the possibility of participating in the FIFA Club World Cup in mid-June.
At the age of 40, Ronaldo reached 936 goals for club and country. However, in 2 and a half years playing at Al Nassr, CR7 did not reap any official titles.
