Previously, on the afternoon of October 28, 2025, Ms. Tran Le Xuyen (born in 1947, residing in My Pho hamlet, My Duc commune, An Giang province) went to My Duc commune police to report the theft of 500 million VND and 10 taels of 9999 gold, with a total value of about 2 billion VND.
After receiving the report, using professional measures, My Duc Commune Police quickly identified Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy (Mrs. Xuyen's niece-in-law) as a suspect, so they invited her to the headquarters for questioning.
At first, Thuy was evasive and refused to admit it. Faced with the documents and evidence collected at the scene and the sharp arguments of the investigator, Thuy admitted to stealing Ms. Xuyen's money and gold.
My Duc Commune Police reported to the Provincial Police Department's Board of Directors to direct the Provincial Police Department's Investigation Police Office to coordinate with My Duc Commune Police to organize a crime scene investigation, verify and recover over 470 million VND and more than 5 taels of 9999 gold as evidence of the case.
