The 1st Congress of Rach Gia Ward Trade Union

Rach Gia Ward Trade Union was established on July 1, 2025; receiving and managing 115 grassroots trade unions and trade unions, with 7,587 union members.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the 1st Congress of Rach Gia Ward Trade Union set out key goals and tasks, such as: Striving for 85% or more of enterprises and units with trade union organizations to be qualified to represent, negotiate and sign collective labor agreements according to the provisions of law; 80% or more of grassroots trade unions to participate with employers in promulgating and implementing grassroots democracy regulations; doing a good job of propaganda and mobilization to establish grassroots trade unions, trade unions, and develop union members, achieving targets assigned by the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation .

Every year, build and repair 1 Union Shelter for union members and workers with housing difficulties. Every year, each grassroots union trains and introduces at least 1 outstanding union member for the Party to consider admission.

According to the decision announced at the congress, the Executive Committee of Rach Gia Ward Trade Union, Term I, consists of 17 comrades, the Standing Committee has 5 comrades. Comrade Truong Thanh Kien was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of Rach Gia Ward Trade Union for the term 2025 - 2030.
