Launching the Khmer folk song and dance club in Tri Ton commune

On October 31, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province to organize a summary training course on "Building and replicating cultural models to implement civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, festivals and community cultural activities in Khmer ethnic minority areas".

The training course took place from October 27 to 31, with nearly 90 trainees who were leaders of departments, offices, and commune organizations; hamlet chiefs and local representatives. Trainees were trained and equipped with knowledge on implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals; introduced typical models in the Khmer ethnic minority region; methods of implementing and replicating the model, promoting the role of the community in building cultural life.

At the closing ceremony, students participated in cultural and artistic exchanges with performances imbued with Khmer cultural identity such as Lam Thon dance, Du Ke ancient opera, Cham Rieng - Cha Pay, Pentatonic music and traditional folk songs and dances.

On this occasion, the organizing committee launched the Khmer folk song and dance club of Tri Ton commune with 10 members, creating a premise to organize regular activities, contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​in the community.
