Impressive art program '60 years of the epic Ham Rong'

(CLO) The art program "60 years of the epic Ham Rong" impressed with its profound melodies and elaborate stage images.

As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong Victory (April 3, 1965 - April 3, 2025), on the evening of April 2, at Ham Rong Square, Thanh Hoa city, the art program "60 years of the heroic Ham Rong" took place.

The art program with heroic melodies brings the audience back to the glorious Ham Rong and Thanh Hoa, Ham Rong is growing stronger day by day.

The program opened with a male and female choir performance “The Party is my life” performed by the Sen Viet Dance Troupe and the dance group of the University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This was followed by performances such as “Uncle Ho is still marching with us”, “Heroic Thanh Hoa”, “Hello Heroic Ma River”, “Ham Rong Rice Plant”, “Continue writing the story of peace ”, “Under the glorious flag”…

Closing the art program was the performance "City on the banks of Ma River - Spacious new road" expressing the aspiration to continue writing a new history called "bright future" on the land rich in revolutionary tradition.

The profound melodies and elaborate stage sets made thousands of spectators feel like they were reliving the arduous yet heroic years.

60 years ago, on April 3 and 4, 1965, the US imperialists mobilized a large number of jet planes and bombs to attack Ham Rong Bridge. In just a moment, Ham Rong became a "hotbed" of war.

In this fierce battle, the US air force dropped more than 350 bombs and 149 rockets on the Ham Rong-Nam Ngan area.

Under the direction of the Party Central Committee, the Government and the Ministry of National Defense , the army and people of Thanh Hoa and the armed forces heroically protected Ham Rong Bridge, thwarting the plot to cut off the important traffic artery connecting the Northern rear with the Southern battlefield.

Our army and people shot down 47 American planes and captured many pilots. The US imperialists later had to bitterly admit that these were “two dark days for the US Air Force”.
