Phuoc An Bridge project started construction in June 2023. The project has a total length of more than 4.7 km, with a clearance of 55 m, ensuring the passage of large tonnage ships.

The total investment capital is nearly 4,900 billion VND, implemented in the period of 2023 - 2026. According to the original plan, the bridge will be completed in mid-2027; however, thanks to mobilizing additional resources, it is expected to be technically opened to traffic at the end of 2026, about 6 months shorter than the schedule.

Many beam, pillar and foundation items have been completed ahead of schedule. Ho Chi Minh City is speeding up the progress of connecting infrastructure on both banks; Dong Nai is rushing to complete the ground and access roads to the bridge.

When completed, Phuoc An Bridge will connect Cai Mep - Thi Vai port area with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, contributing to forming a strategic freight transport axis, reducing pressure on National Highway 51 and creating momentum for logistics development in the Southeast region.
