Yuji 'Gump' Suzuki, a 34-year-old Japanese man, arrived in Cape Town on January 26, completing a journey of more than 6,000 km from Kenya to South Africa by both walking and pulling a cart.

Yuji "Gump" Suzuki's story was shared by AFP. He was moved as he thanked those who supported him on his latest journey of thousands of kilometers.
The journey began in the capital of Kenya in July 2024 and passed through many countries such as Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia.
"I couldn't do this without you. I run for fun. I've been traveling for nine years now and I've been energized by you, so now I'm going to give you strength. That's my life," Suzuki said.

According to AFP, Mr. Suzuki is a 34-year-old tour guide from Tokyo and a social media phenomenon. His journey from Kenya to South Africa is 6,400 km long.
Accompanying Suzuki through Africa was a trailer weighing more than 100 kg.
During his travels, Suzuki often wore traditional Japanese tabi socks and posted pictures on social media.
Suzuki has previously pulled its two-wheeler from China to India (2016-2017), traveled 2,500 km in Europe (2017) and traveled 5,100 km across the United States (2022-2023).
