The victims - a train operator in his 20s and two male passengers in their 20s and 70s - were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Tetsuya Sakagami from the nearby fire department.

Local police said the suspect, 37-year-old Kazuya Shimizu, was armed with three knives when he was arrested at Rinku town station in Osaka prefecture.
Police said he was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and had admitted carrying out the attack on Sunday morning, adding that they were still investigating the motive.
Shimizu told police he got into trouble with a man on the train and attacked him with a knife. Police said he also slashed the hand of another passenger and the train driver when they intervened in the fight.
Violent crime used to be rare in Japan, but has been on the rise recently, with stabbings and even shootings, including the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe last year.
A man killed four people, including two police officers, in a gun and knife attack in late May. The suspect stabbed his victims with a large knife before shooting two police officers with a hunting rifle.
Earlier in 2021, a 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed a passenger and set fire to a train in Tokyo on Halloween while wearing a costume resembling the comic book villain Joker.
