(BL-NQ) On the morning of April 7, March 10, the Party Committee, Government and People of Can Tho City respectfully and solemnly held the Hung Kings' Commemoration Ceremony at the Hung Kings Temple (Lac Long Quan Street, Binh Thuy District, Can Tho City).

Mr. Huynh Huu Tri - Permanent Vice Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee represented the Party Committee and People of the province to participate in this "Drinking water, remember its source" activity.
Amidst the heroic sound of bronze drums, the leaders solemnly bowed, offered flowers and incense in memory of and expressed gratitude to the merits of the Hung Kings and our ancestors who built the country.
This year, the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day program, in addition to traditional rituals such as: offering incense, presenting offerings to the Hung Kings, releasing the flag, also includes the exhibition "Can Tho Literature - Art 50 years (1975 - 2025)", a parade of traditional Vietnamese costumes (Viet dress) from the Hung Kings' Temple to the Southern Folk Cake Festival space.
The Hung King Temple in Can Tho City has an area of nearly 4 hectares, built and completed in April 2022 with a total capital of more than 129 billion VND from socialized sources, has become an outstanding cultural architectural work not only of the locality but also of the entire Mekong Delta region.
Worshiping the Hung Kings is a cultural tradition that shows the respect and deep gratitude of descendants to their ancestors. The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is a common festival of the Vietnamese people, an occasion to review the tradition of building and defending the country of our ancestors; and to strengthen the great national unity.
