Safe and convenient
According to statistics from the Department of Industry and Trade, up to now, the whole province has installed 24 Smart Box smart delivery cabinets, concentrated in Bac Giang ward, Nenh ward, some industrial parks, and apartment buildings. In reality, the main function of Smart Box cabinets is to receive and send goods flexibly 24/7, increase the security and safety of goods thanks to QR codes, reduce operating costs for businesses, and customers no longer depend on the working hours of the shipper.

A survey at the Green City Apartment Complex (Bac Giang Ward) shows that the smart delivery cabinet model has been enthusiastically received by residents. Ms. Ha Ngoc Mai, a resident of the building, shared: "Goods are transported from the place of sale and placed in the cabinet, I just need to scan the code to receive the goods. The time of receipt is proactive, convenient, no need to worry about losing the goods, not dependent on the delivery person".

On that basis, develop a specific implementation plan, determine the location, scale and number of Smart Box machines expected to be installed in the first phase. |

Positive feedback shows that Smart Box cabinets are gradually asserting themselves as the optimal delivery solution in the digital age.
Through actual surveys, village cultural houses, residential groups, and high-rise apartment buildings are currently gathering points for goods with a large volume of deliveries every day. However, delivery is still mainly carried out in the traditional way, causing the delivery situation to become widespread, affecting aesthetics, and potentially causing security and order problems in public areas. Faced with this situation, Smartbox cabinets - a technology product developed by Viettel - have been put into application as a smart and modern delivery solution. Installing cabinets helps people access the benefits of digital transformation in the logistics sector, overcoming the shortcomings in the delivery stage.
Remove obstacles and speed up progress
Although Smart Box cabinets have been effective, the implementation process in the province still faces many difficulties. According to Viettel Post Bac Ninh, the unit set a target of installing 50 cabinets across the province by the end of this year, but so far has only achieved nearly 50% of the plan. The main reason comes from problems at the grassroots level, including the ward People's Committee and residential groups, causing the progress to be slow. Specifically, in Nam Son ward, although the ward People's Committee coordinated the survey, it then asked Viettel Post to work directly with the area heads and residential groups. This process is slow and takes a lot of time. For example, at Lam Trai cultural house, the representative of the residential group informed that they are still waiting for consideration and must meet with the Party Committee to finalize the plan, and has not yet committed to ensuring the safety of the cabinets.

In addition, at some other locations in Phuong Lieu and Tien Du wards, the implementation also encountered difficulties. In Dai Thuong village (Tien Du ward), although Viettel Post had a letter of introduction from the ward People's Committee, the representative of the residential group still refused on the grounds of "narrow area", while the area was fully qualified for installation. Viettel Post has requested the Department of Industry and Trade to send a document to the People's Committees of Nam Son, Phuong Lieu, Tien Du wards and related units to find a solution. At the same time, Viettel Post is cooperating with other delivery units so that not only goods delivered through Viettel's delivery unit but also other companies can receive from the Smart Box cabinet, thereby optimizing convenience and reducing pressure on the carrier.
In order to promote the progress of implementing smart logistics solutions in the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh directed the expansion of Smart Box installation. According to him, the deployment of the Smart Box system not only contributes to supporting the development of e-commerce but also facilitates people, businesses and transport units in the process of contactless delivery of goods; initially, positive results have been recorded.
To ensure efficiency, compliance with regulations and expansion of installation scope across the province, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with equipment suppliers, People's Committees of communes, wards and related departments and branches such as the Department of Construction, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Finance, Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, Provincial Land Fund Development Center... to survey the actual needs in areas with high population density, worker housing areas, student accommodation areas, concentrated administrative areas, commercial centers and industrial parks. On that basis, develop a specific implementation plan, determine the location, scale and number of Smart Box machines expected to be installed in the first phase. At the same time, guide, urge and support suppliers in the implementation process, comply with legal regulations, safety, infrastructure compatibility and ensure urban aesthetics. The People's Committees of communes and wards proactively coordinate and create favorable conditions in terms of land and technical infrastructure for units to install equipment in the area.
