On the afternoon of September 22, the family of the late musician Trinh Cong Son and the People's Committee of Phu Xuan Ward (Hue City) held an inauguration ceremony for a stone stele engraved with the song "Noi Vong Tay Lon" by the late musician Trinh Cong Son at the park named after him in Hue.
Thanh Hoa stone stele is about 5m high, weighs 21 tons, and is engraved by stone carving artisans in Da Nang city with each musical note and each word of the song "Joining Hands in a Big Circle ".
The stele is placed right behind the bronze statue of musician Trinh Cong Son sitting pensively next to a guitar facing the poetic Huong River.
This stele was jointly contributed by the family of the late talented musician and his admirers, engraved with the lyrics of the song carrying the spirit of solidarity and unity, expressing the Vietnamese people's aspiration for peace , independence, freedom, and joining hands to build the country.
At the ceremony, Ms. Trinh Vinh Trinh, sister of the late musician Trinh Cong Son, said that the song " Noi vong tay lon " is one of the "lifetime legacies" sung by many generations of Vietnamese and foreigners who loved Trinh.
According to Ms. Trinh, after nearly half a century, Noi vong tay lon is still sung at major holidays, community events, and concerts, expressing the spirit of solidarity, peace, overcoming the past and moving towards the future.
"And today this song has been engraved on a stone tablet as a tribute from us, the people who love Trinh Cong Son's music, right at the park named after him," said Ms. Trinh Vinh Trinh.
Also at the ceremony, Hue audiences who love Trinh enjoyed a series of songs composed by Trinh Cong Son such as Diem Xua, O tro, Con tuoi nao cho em ... through the classy saxophone performances of Tran Manh Tuan, "brother" Ha Le, singer Duc Tuan, and Tan Son.

Trinh Cong Son is considered by many international scholars to be the "Bob Dylan of Vietnam". Among his legacy, "Noi vong tay lon" is one of the most resonant songs, closely associated with the image of peace-loving Vietnam.
The song was mentioned by former US President Barack Obama in his speech to Vietnamese youth during his visit in May 2016: "We are extremely optimistic about the future of the relationship between the two countries. My belief is in our friendship. As Trinh Cong Son wrote in the song "Joining Hands Together ".
