Dismissal of XV National Assembly delegate with former Director of Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training Tran Van Thuc

(VTC News) - The National Assembly voted to pass a resolution to dismiss the XV National Assembly delegate Tran Van Thuc - former Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training.

On the afternoon of October 24, at the 10th Session, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution to dismiss the XV National Assembly delegate Tran Van Thuc by electronic voting with 422/422 delegates participating in the vote in favor.

On September 15, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 1825 agreeing to the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy to prosecute, temporarily detain, and search Mr. Tran Van Thuc, a deputy of the 15th National Assembly, in accordance with the provisions of law.

At the same time, temporarily suspend the performance of duties and powers of a National Assembly delegate for Mr. Tran Van Thuc, from the date of the decision to prosecute the accused.

Previously, the People's Procuracy of Thanh Hoa province issued a Decision approving the prosecution and temporary detention of Mr. Tran Van Thuc, former Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province.

Mr. Thuc was prosecuted for the crime of "Forgery in work" under Article 359 of the Penal Code.

Before holding the position of Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee from March 2025 until his indictment, Mr. Tran Van Thuc was a lecturer at Vinh University (Nghe An); held positions such as Vice Principal and then Principal of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Deputy Director, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province.
