The National Assembly agreed to add a Deputy Prime Minister.

(Dan Tri) - Based on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's proposal on adding Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th term, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass a resolution on this content.

On the afternoon of October 24, the National Assembly listened to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh present a report on supplementing the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly; Chairman of the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai presented a report on examining the supplementing the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly.

Afterwards, the National Assembly deputies met in the Hall to listen to a report summarizing the opinions of the National Assembly deputies discussed in the Delegation on increasing the number of Deputy Prime Ministers .

Next, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution to add the number of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 15th National Assembly term by electronic voting.

As a result, 430/434 delegates present voted in favor of adding a Deputy Prime Minister for the 15th National Assembly term (90.72% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

On the same day, the National Assembly listened to Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh present the Report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the election of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Delegation Affairs Committee and Chairman of the Science , Technology and Environment Committee; and the election of the Secretary General of the 15th National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh then presented a report requesting the National Assembly to approve the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term and approve the appointment of a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.
