Bamboo Airways elects new board of directors

According to the 2023 annual general meeting of shareholders documents recently announced by Bamboo Airways, the airline's Board of Directors (BOD) said it had received resignation requests from all members of the BOD and all members of the company's Supervisory Board for the 2019-2024 term.

Therefore, to ensure the Board of Directors operates continuously, Bamboo Airways will submit to shareholders for approval the official dismissal of these 5 Board members at the annual meeting on June 21. The company will elect a new Board of Directors, term 2023 - 2028, consisting of 7 members.

Bamboo Airways is about to have a new board of directors.

Currently, Bamboo Airways' Board of Directors includes Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong, Doan Huu Doan, Le Ba Nguyen, Le Thai Sam, and Nguyen Manh Quan. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong is the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Meanwhile, the entire Board of Supervisors of the airline includes 3 Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Pham Van Hung, and Nguyen Dang Khoa.

To ensure continuous operations, Bamboo Airways' Board of Directors plans to submit to shareholders for approval the dismissal of the above 5 members of the Board of Directors and 3 members of the Supervisory Board from the date of approval by the General Meeting of Shareholders. At the same time, the company will elect 7 additional members of the Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term and 3 new members of the Supervisory Board.

Currently, the list of candidates expected to be elected to the Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors has not been announced by Bamboo Airways.

Recently, Bamboo Airways appointed Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai as General Director from May 24. In addition, two former leaders of Japan Airlines are also expected to join Bamboo Airways. Of which, Mr. Hideki Oshima, former director of international relations and airline alliances of Japan Airlines, will join the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways and the Executive Board. Meanwhile, Mr. Masaru Onishi, former president of Japan Airlines, will serve as a senior advisor to the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways.

Also at this congress, Bamboo Airways plans to submit to shareholders for approval a change in the number of legal representatives of the company from 1 person to 3 people, including the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the General Director and a member of the Board of Directors.
