Major General Vu Ngoc Thiem, Head of the Government Cipher Committee, highly appreciated the potential of blockchain technology in the future. He said that the Government Cipher Committee is actively approaching this new technology in the direction of research and technology development, building a foundation for innovation and development of the Vietnamese Cipher sector to move straight to modernity, while contributing to promoting socio -economic development and ensuring national security.
Representatives of the Government Cipher Committee and VBA exchanged a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
The leaders of the Government Cipher Committee also assessed VBA as an important and strategic partner, playing the role of a bridge between state agencies and the domestic and foreign communities to support and promote research activities, develop blockchain technology and applications, contributing to positive changes in the 4.0 revolution that Vietnam is pursuing.
At the signing ceremony, VBA Vice President Nguyen Doan Hung said: "The cooperation with the Government Cipher Committee is both an honor and a responsibility in promoting the application of blockchain in the country's fields such aseducation and training, finance and banking, social security, population management, security and defense. We believe this will be a premise to contribute responsibly to significant changes in the current 4.0 revolution."
The signing of the memorandum of understanding aims to promote the strengths of both sides in research activities, proposing management policies, promoting application and education, training, and popularizing blockchain technology in Vietnam.
