Hon Vong Phu scenic spot on An Hoach mountain (Nhio mountain) - Thanh Hoa city
According to the decision signed on September 19, the urgent construction aims to provide solutions to preserve, reinforce, and strengthen the Hon Vong Phu relic to ensure the sustainability and stability of the relic, creating a stable hardness, and supporting movements under any impact of weather and the surrounding environment.
Hon Vong Phu will be reinforced and reinforced with steel fibers filled with Sika Grout 214-11 mortar, reinforced along the vertical direction of the monument. When pumping Sika mortar, the mortar will be inserted into the cracks on the borehole wall, covering the steel fibers to form strong fibers that can withstand tension and compression to prevent cracks from developing, binding the separate elements of Hon Vong Phu relic due to cracking and crumbling into a solid block that cannot be separated.
Due to being struck by lightning, this scenic spot was damaged and many cracks appeared.
The relic also designed a system of cored pipes from the top of Hon Vong Phu relic, arranged steel bars in the pipes and filled with Sika non-shrink mortar.
The total investment to "save" the Hon Vong Phu relic is not more than 17 billion VND (from the provincial budget) and must be completed before April 30, 2025.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province assigned the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Thanh Hoa province to implement the project. The Department of Finance of Thanh Hoa province was assigned to advise, arrange capital sources, and report to the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province before September 30.
If not preserved soon, Hon Vong Phu scenic spot could collapse at any time.
Previously, according to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, on the night of June 15, 2022, the Hon Vong Phu relic was struck by lightning, causing a landslide of a 1x3 m rock block in the west and a 2.5x3 m rock block in the east.
After the above incident, Hon Vong Phu was broken, many cracks appeared, currently has a vertical tilt of 10 - 15 degrees, and is at risk of being struck by lightning and collapsing if protection and preservation measures are not taken soon.
Hon Vong Phu scenic relic is located in the An Hoach Mountain Art and Scenic Relic Complex (also known as Nhoi Mountain; An Hung Ward, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province). It is a stone pillar about 20 m high, resembling a woman holding a child. This relic is considered one of the famous scenic spots of Thanh Hoa Province.
This relic cluster was recognized as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 1992, including: Thuong Communal House, Hinh Son Pagoda, Quan Thanh Pagoda, Tomb of Duke Le Trung Nghia and Hon Vong Phu.
