The V-League rankings have been disrupted at the bottom, after the 3-match series of round 8 ended this evening (October 26).

Two goals from Jairo Rodrigues (25th minute) and Ryan Ha (61st minute) helped coach Le Quang Trai's team once again turn Pleiku into a nightmare for The Cong Viettel. Although Lucao scored a goal in the 90+10th minute and The Cong Viettel pressed until the last second, HAGL still stood firm to secure 3 points.
Highlight Hai Phong 2-1 Ha Tinh : Spectacular comeback
The victory over The Cong Viettel helped HAGL climb 1 place to 13th place, with 6 points after 7 matches. Da Nang Club was pushed to the bottom of the table with 5 points after 7 matches. Although it has only moved from the direct relegation position (bottom of the table) to the play-off position (13th place), the joy of winning the match at Pleiku Stadium can become a turning point, helping HAGL regain fighting spirit for the next difficult journey in V-League.
Thanh Hoa FC also enjoyed the joy of victory. At Vinh Stadium, the Thanh team defeated host SLNA with a thrilling score of 1-0 to rise to 11th place with 7 points, pushing SLNA down to 12th place with 8 points.
The championship race is unpredictable
At Lach Tray home ground, Hai Phong FC had their second consecutive victory in the V-League when they defeated visiting Ha Tinh 2-1, thanks to a double from Joel Tagueu. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's team had 14 points to move up to fourth place, just 1 point behind second-placed The Cong Viettel.

It is surprising that despite possessing modest potential, Hai Phong is entering the race for medals. Coach Nghiem has turned a group of ordinary people into a formidable team in the V-League.
At the top, Ninh Binh still has the upper hand with 20 points, 5 points more than the second-placed The Cong Viettel. Hanoi Police Club has 14 points, ranked third (better on goal difference than Hai Phong), and Ho Chi Minh City Police Club is ranked fifth also with 14 points.
