Singapore's smallest museum

VnExpressVnExpress06/11/2023

Every item in the museum has a story. On the second shelf of the cabinet behind Alvin are lidded ceramic jars with intricate patterns and bright colors. Alvin said these items belonged to an old friend. He tried to buy them many times but was refused because she wanted to use them as toys for her children. Later, when her children grew up, she decided to sell them to Alvin.

When Alvin opened the Intan Museum, he called his old friend who had settled in the US and wanted to invite him to visit when he had the chance. When his friend came to the museum, he was very moved when he saw the old items that had once been with him.

After that tour, Alvin's friend returned to the US and died in a hotel fire. "Her boyfriend called me and told me how happy she was after coming to my museum," Alvin said.
