"I was very surprised and moved. When I got on stage, I almost couldn't hold back my emotions and my eyes were filled with tears. That was when I heard my child's name being called up to receive the outstanding student award and his parents were with him," said Ms. Hang, Gia Huy's parent (class 5T2, Tran Hung Dao Primary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

Not only Ms. Hang, many parents of the school were also surprised when they received the notice that they would be on stage with their children at the closing ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year, held on May 26.

As soon as they left the stage, the homeroom teachers were like "idols" to the students in the class. The students clapped their hands to cheer for their homeroom teachers, raised their hands, and leaned forward to congratulate them when they passed by.

The closing ceremony also did not have speeches from leaders at all levels. Instead, students were invited to express their feelings about the past school year, their memories, emotions, lessons, and even what they were looking forward to and "ordered" for the new school year.
