Election of 2 additional Vice Chairmen of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee

On November 3, the Standing Committee of the 18th Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council held the 35th Session to review, discuss and resolve a number of important issues under its authority. At the session, the Provincial People's Council delegates elected two additional Department Directors to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, the delegates of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province elected Mr. Le Quang Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Finance and Mr. Cao Van Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

The delegates elected additional members of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Tien Hieu, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Le Van Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Le Van Cuong, Director of the Department of Health ; Mr. Hoang Van Dong, Director of the Department of Construction. The Provincial People's Council elected Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hai to hold the position of Head of the Legal Committee of the 18th Provincial People's Council; Mr. Luong Tien Thanh to hold the position of Head of the Ethnic Committee of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

The meeting also considered and resolved to remove the following from their positions as members of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to transfer to other jobs: Trinh Huy Trieu, former Director of the Department of Construction; Pham Nguyen Hong, former Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the meeting, the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council reviewed important reports and submissions of the Provincial People's Committee such as: Adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the state budget for the period 2021 - 2025; adjusting the public investment plan for 2025 for investment capital in the local budget balance managed by the province (phase 2); stipulating a number of spending regimes to ensure the operations of People's Councils at all levels; approving the list of land plots for bidding for investment projects using land in the province; approving the Project "Organizing force building, training, operations and ensuring regimes and policies for the Thanh Hoa Provincial Militia and Self-Defense Force for the period 2026 - 2030" ... and many other important contents.

Directing the session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Doan Anh stated: This is a very important thematic session, taking place right after the 20th Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, which has just been successfully held; the entire Provincial Party Committee is urgently implementing the Congress Resolution with new determination and spirit. At this session, the Provincial People's Council will discuss, consider and decide on socio-economic contents, in order to promptly concretize guidelines and policies, allocate resources, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2025 and the following years.

Comrades who have been elected to new positions need to continue to practice and cultivate their political qualities and revolutionary ethics, constantly learn to improve their capacity, professional qualifications, and leadership and management skills; uphold the exemplary spirit, maintain internal solidarity, and closely coordinate with the collective of the agency or unit in which they work to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Closing the session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Tien Lam emphasized: In order for the resolutions to quickly come into life and be effective, the Provincial People's Council requests the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities to promptly implement the approved resolutions. All levels and branches should proactively coordinate, allocate resources and guide the implementation of new policies in a timely manner, in accordance with the practical situation.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council seriously accepted the direction of the Provincial Party Secretary and requested the Provincial People's Council, Committees and each delegate to focus on concretizing key tasks in the last months of 2025. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Council Committees and the People's Council delegates continue to promote the role of supervision and closely monitor the implementation of issued resolutions, in order to ensure serious and effective implementation, bringing specific results to voters and people, contributing significantly to the overall development of Thanh Hoa province in the coming time.
