After five months of teaching and learning, the literacy class in Dung Giang village has completed its course. 100% of the students have learned to read and write, contributing to the implementation of the universal education and literacy program in the area. The majority of the students are from the Thai ethnic group, aged between 37 and nearly 60 years old, mostly the main breadwinners in their families, working in the fields and on the farms every day. Despite their busy family lives, the students attended all classes. Being able to read and write is a legitimate desire for most people, but due to various circumstances, many people do not have the opportunity to attend school and therefore remain illiterate.
At the closing ceremony of the literacy class, representatives from the District Education and Training Department and the People's Committee of Hong Ngai commune (Bac Yen district) presented certificates to 14 students and awarded commendations to students who achieved outstanding results in the course.
