After 2 days of important activities, on the afternoon of July 5, the 20th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council successfully concluded with 23 resolutions passed.
Attending the closing session were comrades: Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and leaders of departments, branches, units and localities of the province.
Before the closing session, delegates gave their opinions on the report, draft resolutions and voted to pass the resolutions of the session. Speaking at the closing session, Comrade Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: At the 20th session, the Provincial People's Council agreed to evaluate the first 6 months of 2024, in the context of the world and regional situation having many influencing factors, but with the theme "Solidarity - Discipline - Action - Efficiency - Development", along with the high determination of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the efforts of all levels and sectors, the socio -economic situation of the province achieved some positive results. Of the 25 general socio-economic targets assigned by the Provincial People's Council in 2024, the Provincial People's Committee has specified 42 targets for implementation. Up to now, 31/42 targets have achieved over 50% of the plan; 5/42 targets have achieved less than 50% of the plan (6 targets to evaluate the results of the whole year).
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: 2024 is a pivotal year, of great significance in successfully implementing the tasks of the entire 2021 - 2026 term. The Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct all levels and sectors to continue promoting the achieved results, reviewing difficulties and challenges to promptly deploy solutions to ensure socio-economic targets in 2024. All levels and sectors focus on effectively implementing the goals of the Provincial Party Congress Resolution, synchronously, promptly and comprehensively deploying policies, tasks and solutions to ensure the progress of goals and tasks according to Resolution 48-NQ/TU dated December 1, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee on directions and tasks in 2024 and Resolution 58/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development plan. society 2024
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested all levels and sectors to effectively implement solutions to promote socio-economic development and accelerate the progress of key and important projects of the province; pay attention to developing education, health, culture, ensuring social security; strengthen national defense, security and border and landmark management; promote foreign affairs activities, develop cooperative relations with domestic provinces and cities and foreign organizations.

2. Resolution on thematic supervision of the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU dated August 26, 2021 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the Strategy for developing agricultural commodities in Lao Cai province to 2030, with a vision to 2050 .
