Real Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 thanks to Jude Bellingham's brilliance in round 11 of La Liga.
Barcelona dominate Real Madrid
The highlight of round 11 of La Liga was the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The home team dominated the first half and scored first. However, Jude Bellingham's brilliance helped Real Madrid leave the Nou Camp with 3 points.
Coach Xavi Hernandez did not have many options when a series of players were injured. However, the home team still created an impressive game and the goal came early for the home team.
In the 7th minute, Ilkay Gundogan had a good combination with Ferran Torres. The German midfielder broke free and finished accurately to open the score for Barcelona. This situation was partly the fault of Real Madrid's defenders when David Alaba did not clear the ball well.
This goal helped Barcelona gain an advantage in the game. The home team's midfield dominated when Gundogan and Gavi played flexibly and skillfully. On the other side of the front line, the pair of Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni had more than enough strength but lacked the experience and sophistication to help Real Madrid control.
In the first half, Barca lacked the luck to get the second goal. Fermin Lopez took advantage of Toni Kroos' mistake to penetrate the penalty area and shoot, but he hit the post. After that, this young talent and his senior Joao Felix had a few more notable ball handling moves, but Real Madrid still managed to neutralize them.
Bellingham scored 2 goals against Barcelona
In the second half, Barcelona still had the upper hand. But unlike the first half, Torres and his teammates had difficulty approaching the visitors' goal. Real Madrid were in a similar situation when Luka Modric and Joselu appeared but could not improve the quality of their attacks.
At the most difficult moment, Real Madrid turned the situation around thanks to the brilliance of their star. In the 68th minute, Bellingham fired a classy long-range shot that defeated goalkeeper Marc Andre Stegen, equalizing 1-1 for Real Madrid.
The home team went all out to attack to regain the lead. Lamine Yamal and Raphinha were brought on. However, this was the match that called for Jude Bellingham. In the second minute of extra time, from a cross from Dani Carvajal, Modric controlled the ball incorrectly but Bellingham was immediately there to finish close to the goal, sealing a 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.
