Ben Luc during the hot season - electronics supermarkets are doing brisk business.

The continuous hot weather over the past few days has led to a surge in demand for cooling equipment. To meet this demand, electronics supermarkets in Ben Luc district have imported many new air conditioner models and launched attractive promotional programs.

Electronics supermarkets in the district are currently running many promotional programs for customers installing cooling equipment.

Observations at the Dien May Xanh electronics supermarket show that over the past two weeks, the number of customers needing to purchase cooling products, especially air conditioners, has increased significantly. With sales of 5-10 air conditioners per day, the supermarket cannot install them immediately and has to schedule deliveries, while also assigning technicians to perform routine maintenance according to the previous warranty policy.

Having just purchased a new air conditioner at the Dien May Xanh electronics supermarket, Mr. Nguyen Vi Toan from Thanh Phu commune said: “My old air conditioner was broken, and recently the electronics supermarkets in the district have many promotional programs, including free installation, so I decided to buy one right away. However, due to the large number of customers at the supermarket, I had to wait one day for the installation as scheduled.”

Not only are electronics supermarkets experiencing high demand, but air conditioner installation and repair services are also working at full capacity. Nguyen Tan Phat, owner of Thanh Phat Refrigeration in Thanh Duc commune, said that for the past month, the demand for air conditioner repairs has increased significantly, resulting in a substantial workload. He has had to assign extra staff, working from early morning until late afternoon, and still hasn't finished all the work.

Mr. Phat shared: "The number of customers this year has doubled compared to last year, so the technical staff are working at full capacity but still can't fulfill all the orders. Many customers call for repairs, but we have to apologize for the delays."

The job of repairing, installing, and maintaining air conditioners also sees more work during the hot season.

During the hot season, the workload is heavy, and the income of air conditioning technicians is quite high. Those working in this field say that the typical price for maintenance and new installation of each air conditioner ranges from 300,000 to 400,000 VND depending on the machine's capacity, with an additional 150,000 to 300,000 VND for gas refills, and 200,000 to 500,000 VND for repairs depending on the fault. On average, an air conditioning technician earns about 1.5 to 2 million VND per day, with a monthly income of around 40 million VND. However, this income level only lasts for the three peak months of hot weather.
