On September 12, Gia Dinh People's Hospital said that robots help provide information and improve the medical examination and treatment experience, contributing to reducing the workload for medical staff.
The robot is programmed to interact by voice, can give directions, lead patients to where they need to go, and provide information about services and prices.
Currently, the robot is being tested on the ground floor for a 2-week pilot. If the results are positive, Gia Dinh People's Hospital will consider expanding and placing more robots on other floors to better serve the needs of the people.

Many patients were surprised and delighted when the robot helped them with directions and answered questions about the service. Ms. PTNN (residing in Binh Loi Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said: "As soon as I arrived at the lobby, I saw a strange robot so I was curious and wanted to try it. I tried to talk to it and was guided to the right clinic I needed. It felt very interesting and fun."
According to Gia Dinh People's Hospital, the robot is also capable of sending out warning signals to ask for the right of way, automatically stopping when encountering obstacles, and even knowing how to make jokes, bringing comfort to patients. These details help the "robot staff" quickly win the sympathy of patients.
According to Dr. Tran Minh Hien, Digital Transformation Department, Gia Dinh People's Hospital, in the near future, the hospital will not only apply robots in reception and guidance work but also expand to the field of internal logistics such as transporting medicine and equipment. This is the latest generation of robots and we expect the model to be replicated after 2 weeks of testing.
The appearance of robots marks a new step forward in the application of technology in healthcare, contributing to improving service quality and building the image of a modern, patient-friendly hospital.
