Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet visited the Bo Bo victory monument and the tomb of Pham Phu Thu.

Joining the delegation were Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Nguyen Chin, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Quang and leaders of departments, branches and Dien Ban town.

At the Bo Bo Victory Monument (Dien Tien commune), the provincial leaders and the working delegation observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs and pay tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause and independence of the nation.

Bo Bo Victory Monument is a place to mark the glorious victory of the army and people of Quang Nam in the war against the invaders in July 1954. Bo Bo Victory is considered a "Dien Bien Phu" on the Quang Nam - Da Nang battlefield in the resistance war against French colonialism.

At the historical site of Pham Phu Thu's tomb (Dien Trung commune), Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and the working delegation burned incense to pay tribute to the famous mandarin Pham Phu Thu (1821 - 1882) - a great intellectual who left his mark in many fields of politics , economics, culture - society, foreign affairs... when he was an official under the Nguyen Dynasty.

It is known that these two relics have just been ranked as national historical relics by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
