The signing ceremony was attended by Party Central Committee member, City Party Secretary, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh. On BIDV's side, there were Chairman of the Board of Directors Phan Duc Tu, BIDV General Director Le Ngoc Lam and representatives of many domestic and foreign agencies, enterprises and investors.

According to the memorandum of understanding, BIDV will accompany Da Nang in three key areas: developing technology solutions for management and operation of the Free Trade Zone; proposing preferential policies to attract strategic investors; promoting green finance and sustainable development.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that Da Nang is one of the six centrally-run cities playing the leading role in the development of the Central Highlands - Central region, and is also the gateway to the sea for many countries in the East-West economic corridor. With its strategic location, modern infrastructure and increasingly transparent policies, Da Nang is gradually affirming its role as an important socio-economic center of the country.
In 2024, the city's economy will continue to grow positively with GRDP reaching 7.51%. The city is promoting the implementation of strategic orientations according to Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 dated June 26, 2024 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city, aiming to become an ecological, smart city, a center for startups, innovation and a livable coastal city by 2045.

One of the important development milestones is the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone - a new, breakthrough growth model, associated with Lien Chieu Port. This will be an international development space, attracting strategic investors, promoting innovation and deep integration. In that process, the companionship of BIDV - a financial institution with strong potential, a pioneer in digital transformation and green finance will be of particular importance.
“I believe that, with the determination of the city government and the implementation capacity of BIDV, the cooperation contents will soon be concretized, contributing to making the Da Nang Free Trade Zone a pioneering model, an outstanding institution according to international standards - a new economic growth driver not only for the city but also for the whole country,” emphasized Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

BIDV Chairman Phan Duc Tu affirmed: “Da Nang is facing a great opportunity to form a new symbol of development. BIDV is committed to long-term companionship, contributing to making the Free Trade Zone a center connecting trade, finance and technology in the region.”
According to Mr. Tu, BIDV is currently the largest financial institution in Vietnam with total assets of more than 2.7 million billion VND. The bank is leading in the field of digital transformation, green finance and providing advanced financial and technological solutions for logistics, seaports, import and export, etc. This will be an important foundation to support Da Nang in developing the Free Trade Zone to become a pioneer model according to international standards.
