'Sea of ​​people' participate in Binh Dinh cultural and culinary festival

On the evening of May 1, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Beach Square (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province), locals and tourists attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival in 2025.

Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh province, said: Binh Dinh is a land rich in cultural traditions, with many intangible cultural heritages, such as traditional martial arts, folk singing, folk bai choi and a rich system of traditional craft villages. In particular, local cuisine plays a special role, not only in terms of material value but also in terms of cultural and historical stories imbued with the identity of Binh Dinh people.

Binh Dinh cuisine includes famous delicacies such as Huyen market spring rolls, gai leaf cakes, shrimp spring rolls, Quy Nhon fish noodles, jumping shrimp pancakes, pink cakes... which not only captivate diners but also become cultural ambassadors, contributing to spreading the image of Binh Dinh to friends all over the country and internationally.

Following the success of the 2024 festival season, the 2025 Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Festival is organized on an expanded scale, gathering 55 booths from many provinces and countries.

Including 34 culinary booths from Thailand, Korea, Japan and localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai, Nghe An, Soc Trang, Dak Lak...; 19 Binh Dinh culinary specialty booths, 16 OCOP booths and 4 tourism promotion booths introducing typical products, such as Bau Da wine, rice paper, craft village products...

The lively culinary demonstration space is a highlight of this year’s festival. Here, local and international artisans and chefs directly prepare dishes on the spot, while telling stories associated with each delicious dish, helping visitors enjoy the flavors and learn more about the culture and history of each region.

According to SGGP reporters, on the opening night, tens of thousands of people flocked to the square to experience the festival atmosphere. The stalls were always crowded and bustling. Many visitors enjoyed the traditional dishes prepared hot on the spot.

Ms. Tran Bich Ngoc, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The festival is very meaningful, with many food stalls from all regions offering delicious dishes."
