Commending 45 typical advanced collectives and individuals

On May 26, the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to honor 45 typical and advanced collectives and individuals in the period of 2020-2025. Attending the conference were comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Over the past 5 years, women's associations at all levels have concretized the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" associated with building Son La women "Solidarity, humanity, friendliness, creativity, aspiration to rise up" associated with promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

The association at all levels has deployed and maintained 5,149 money saving models following Uncle Ho's example with a balance of over 15 billion VND, lending capital to nearly 8,000 female members for economic development; supported the establishment of 756 economic models with women participating in management; registered to help 3,330 poor and near-poor female households and 870 households have escaped poverty according to multidimensional poverty criteria.

Implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" is associated with implementing the set of criteria for new rural communes in the province, with 204 registered associations and implementing 580 projects/tasks, contributing to building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; supporting 42,293 households to achieve 8 criteria; maintaining 78 models of "Plastic waste collection" with 2,730 members; 152 models of waste classification at source with 11,583 members. Coordinating the implementation of the project "Promoting gender equality through improving the economic efficiency of agricultural production and tourism development in Lao Cai and Son La provinces" with 11,805 women benefiting.

With the results achieved, over the past 5 years, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 141 collectives and 37 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 31 collectives and 39 individuals; the sectors awarded certificates of merit to 41 collectives and 102 individuals; the Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 297 collectives and 578 individuals.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Dinh Thi Bich Thao suggested that the Provincial Women's Union continue to closely follow the leadership of the Central Union and the Provincial Party Committee to concretize the tasks of the union; do a good job of ideological education, grasp the practical situation of the locality, widely and effectively deploy emulation movements associated with socio-economic development and carry out political tasks in the locality and unit. Promote propaganda, spread widely advanced models, good practices, and creativity in implementing emulation movements...

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 15 collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025.
