On April 28, at the 23rd session (special session), the People's Council of Binh Dinh province passed a Resolution on allocating local budget capital to participate in the Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) - Pleiku ( Gia Lai ) expressway construction investment project.
Specifically, Binh Dinh province will allocate 750 billion VND to carry out compensation, support site clearance and resettlement for the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway construction investment project.
Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council assigns Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee to be responsible for organizing the implementation of the resolution.

The Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway construction investment project has a total length of about 123km, passing through Binh Dinh province (40km) and Gia Lai province (85km). The total preliminary investment is estimated at more than 36,000 billion VND.
Regarding the project, recently, in the announcement of the conclusion of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the working session with the Standing Committee of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to urgently implement the direction of the Prime Minister in the previous document No. 1205 dated February 14, 2025; establish the project, submit it to the competent authority for consideration and decision on the project investment policy in May, striving to start construction in 2025.
According to Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the Party Central Committee, it is expected to merge Gia Lai and Binh Dinh provinces, named Gia Lai province, with the political and administrative center located in Binh Dinh province.
Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has issued a document requesting Project Management Board 2 (PMU 2) to proactively coordinate with relevant units to complete the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway project and submit it to competent authorities for approval of the investment policy for implementation according to the prescribed schedule.
Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee assigned the Traffic and Civil Project Management Board to be the focal agency to coordinate the implementation of the project. It is required to closely coordinate with Project Management Board 2 and related units during the project implementation process, ensuring effective work handling; it is required to report weekly (on Friday morning) on the project implementation status, and advise and propose to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and direction of implementation.
