Binh Dinh: Many large projects will be approved and started

Phu My Dong Commune, where the Phu My Industrial Park and Phu My Port Project is being implemented, was chosen as a key commune of the new Gia Lai province.

Speaking at the 25th session of the 13th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 (the last session of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Council), Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, shared about the projects that the locality is implementing.

According to the Chairman of Binh Dinh province, up to now, two local traffic bottlenecks have been resolved and removed.

Specifically, the Investment Project to build runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport will start construction on August 19. The locality will try to complete it within 10 months, after which it will become an international airport.

Regarding the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway Project, Binh Dinh province is completing the final procedures on June 25; the locality is trying to start construction on the occasion of the new Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress in October.

Regarding the Coastal Road Project through Binh Dinh province, the province is also determined to complete the remaining road section from ODA capital; striving to start construction of the remaining 38 km in October.

For the project expected to bring clean electricity, the PNE Wind Power Project, up to now, the project has been approved in the Power Plan VIII; the province is trying to issue bidding documents this week; in July and August, a contractor will be selected.

Regarding the two important infrastructure projects in Phu My district, the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee once again mentioned that if the support and consensus of the Phu My government and people are received, the province plans to start the Phu My Industrial Park Project (phase 1) on August 19; and the Phu My Port Project will start a little later.

“From 2026, there will be very large projects, super projects being put into Phu My Industrial Park. This industrial park has an initial area of 800 hectares, when completed the entire area will be over 2,000 hectares. If this project is completed, it will really bring in a huge source of revenue, bringing a highlight to economic development. That is why Phu My Dong commune currently has nothing but was chosen by the locality as a key commune of the province,” Mr. Tuan emphasized.

Regarding science and technology projects, the head of Binh Dinh province affirmed that Binh Dinh is currently a pioneer and is calling for many investors.

Although "no specific details have been finalized yet", Mr. Tuan affirmed that "there will definitely be projects and super projects in the near future".

According to the Chairman of Binh Dinh province, in the field of AI and semiconductors, there are very few small-scale projects, with the lowest projects costing several hundred million USD to projects worth several billion USD.

“The province is also approaching these projects, in the exchange and negotiation phase, the province hopes to attract these projects. When attracting a project, it will create an effect of attracting investors like the Swedish Syre Group investing in Binh Dinh, if this project is successful, Swedish investors will also follow the locality”, Mr. Tuan cited.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee assessed that the province has basically completed its tasks for the 2021-2026 term, while also carrying out the dual task of completing the tasks without thinking in terms of terms, creating very good space for the next 5-10 years.

“We think that in the next 10 years, with the determined planning, the locality will develop well in the context of the new Gia Lai province,” Mr. Tuan shared.
