The People's Council of Binh Dinh province has just issued a resolution to adjust and supplement the investment policy of Binh Dinh Provincial Museum from 700 billion VND to 732 billion VND, with the implementation period from 2024 to 2028.

The reason for adjusting and supplementing capital sources is because the Binh Dinh Provincial Museum project was approved by the Provincial People's Council in the 2023 resolution with a total investment of 700 billion VND, without compensation and support expenses.

However, in reality, this expense item arises to compensate and support when reclaiming land from the Binh Dinh Provincial Labor Culture House at 86 Le Duan, Quy Nhon City.

The project to build the Binh Dinh Provincial Museum aims to invest in facilities for the museum to effectively and scientifically collect, preserve and display valuable historical artifacts of the province, helping viewers have a comprehensive view of the history of Binh Dinh from the past to the present, the process of fighting to build and defend the country, blending into the flow of national history.

In addition, the Provincial Museum will become a prominent architectural work of Binh Dinh province, with high community significance, serving the public's need to learn about culture and history, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

In terms of scale, Binh Dinh Provincial Museum is located on a land area of ​​about 1.3 hectares. The project consists of 4 floors, with a total floor area of ​​about 15,860m².

Including functional areas such as main hall, temporary exhibition area, elevator lobby area, exhibition storage area, permanent exhibition area, exhibition warehouse, library area, reference area, sightseeing yard, machine room space, office, service area for museum visitors, other auxiliary and technical functional rooms...

There are also outdoor infrastructure items such as yards, roads, parking lots, outdoor display areas; event areas, etc.

Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee - said that Binh Dinh Provincial Museum at 26 Nguyen Hue Street, Quy Nhon City currently does not have enough scale, area and space to display artifacts and documents, so it will be newly built in the area of ​​the Provincial Labor Culture House at 86 Le Duan Street.

The current Binh Dinh Provincial Museum will then be directed towards becoming a facility with priority medical andeducational purposes.
